Ruben Hidalgo

Ruben is a Finance partner at Philips in the Image Guided Therapy Devices business, delivering innovative technologies and therapies to patients with abnormal heart rhythms. Ruben joined Philips in 2022 as the clinical and R&D finance leader. Responsibilities include annual budgeting, financial modeling, and strategic planning. Ruben is an experienced finance partner with a demonstrated history in medical device, corporate finance, and non-profit finance. In addition to his extensive corporate experience, Ruben is a military intelligence Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves and served in Operation Inherit Resolved on a nine-month deployment to Iraq from 2020-2021.

Prior to working at Philips, Ruben worked at Medtronic in the Cardiac Rhythm Management business and IT finance. Ruben has non-profit experience as well, serving a three-year term as Board Treasurer at Green Card Voices. Ruben received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Strategic Growth at the University of St. Thomas.

Ruben is a first-generation immigrant from Mexico City, Mexico. Growing up, Ruben worked at his family’s restaurant, Manny’s Tortas, a local Latino-owned business in South Minneapolis. Where owners, Manny and Victoria Gonzalez, taught him the power of Latino entrepreneurship and community.
