Kurt Thompson

Kurt Thompson is a seasoned executive with leadership experience across multiple sectors and industries. He began his career as a grocer in his hometown of Redwood Falls, Minnesota. After selling the business in 2007, he went on to lead the SBA microloan program at Southwest Initiative Foundation in southwest Minnesota.

Thompson has also worked with a national nonprofit focused on conservation and served as an executive in the solar industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Entrepreneur Fund in Duluth, Minnesota, a large regional CDFI focused on rural and underserved communities. Throughout his career, Thompson has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting underserved people and communities through his work and personal life.
