Jennifer Carlson

Jennifer has nearly 20 years of experience in development with a diverse background in fundraising in areas including planned giving, annual giving, corporate giving and corporate sponsorship budling, grants administration, volunteer engagement, and marketing work. Jennifer also has a legal background and worked in immigration law. Jennifer is currently serving as the Director of Gift and Estate Planning at the Salvation Army Northern Division.

Jennifer previously lived in Chile, and has spent professional, academic and personal time in Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Brazil, and Nicaragua. She has served on various boards and development committees for Latino and other organizations in Minnesota. Jennifer has passion to support Latinos become economically self-sufficient and financially independent through building small business ownership. Her work in immigration law inspired her to focus in the area of small business enterprise and development for Latinos.

Jennifer has a B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College, an  M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona, and attended law school at Mitchell Hamline College of Law. She is fluent in Spanish.
