Who should get a COVID-19 booster?

COVID-19 booster shots are now available for Minnesotans who received any of the approved vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna o Johnson & Johnson.

If you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you should get a booster at least two months after your initial dose.

If you received both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, check the image below to see who should get a booster at least 6 months from the second dose.

Not everyone needs a booster immediately. Talk to your health care provider about whether you need yours or with questions about combining different vaccines.

For questions and more information about COVID-19 boosters, call the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) at 833-431-2053 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
